Commish-
How many regular season games will we play, and how is the schedule determined.
Also, thanks for clarifying the Pitcher rules for me; as follows
" 5 SPs and 5 NON SPs pitchers each week. You may NOT start a 6th SP in one of the other 'P' spots. Your team must have 5 SP starts to qualify for the points in any week"

Not sure how many games there will be or how the schedule is determined but there will be no inter league play.

I was wondering if we were leaning on doing Yahoo?

Either yahoo or ESPN

I would vote ESPN. I did both last year and ESPN is a little better IMO

Yeah I am leaning toward ESPN (sorry people who want yahoo). A family member of mine does his on ESPN and says it is very easy to use.

I have always preferred Yahoo, I never did baseball on ESPN but I hated their football set up

i love their football set up, Ive tried ESPN, CBS, Fox, and yahoo fantasy leagues for all sports and espn is in my opinion the best followed by fox, than yahoo, than cbs

I could be wrong about this, but can't you only do 20 teams on ESPN? I thought CBS was the only service that offered 30, and you have to pay for that.

Not totally sure I have to look into it.

Alright so I read up on all of these questions, but there's something I'm still confused about (maybe I missed it)...
What are the salaries of the players we draft? So if I take Teixeira #1 do I get his 22.5M/yr salary?
And also, do I have the #10 pick as well?

This draft is for the draft classes of 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 (if you have enough info). Players like Teixeira will be available in free agency.

Oh ok, and how do contracts work, can they exceed 10M as an annual salary?

Post by Orioles GM on Nov 7, 2009 20:42:34 GMT -5
Yes they can.
Any contract over $10million will be reduced by 2/3 after the bidding is over. For example if you bid on Jose Reyes and win at $10million you wlll actually only have to pay him $6.7million
