A's, I like the "On the Clock" thread. It clearly states who is up and how long they have. Food for thought. As the author, can you:
* Simply modify your initial post. That will keep it at the top of the thread. * Remove any other conversations. That should limit it to just the clock and the next three picks.

I actually have been doing that.
Trying to keep up, but sometimes it moves too fast.
As for the other posts, I can't do anything with them. I think the commish would have to.
Another thing I think can be done is that it can be stickied to show at the top, but I can't find a way to do it. It might be something that the commish has to do as well. That would be a good thing to do if it is possible.

i wish more people were active during the day. Just log on at your lunch break for 2 minutes to see if you're on the clock. I sit in my computer lab all day and then go to basketball practice in the evening... and I check every hour and there usually isn't to much going on.

I really think the draft picks need to start coming in quicker. Obviously, some people will have a tough choice with certain picks, but the rate we're going at just isn't good enough IMO.

yeah the draft is at a crawl, if it's your pick and you know it make your selection as soon as possible, and if its coming up send your draft board to the commish if you aren't going to be checking.
Id be open to cutting the time, theoretically the draft could take 150 days if everyone took their twelve hours.

I'm not sure we need to cut it to 6 hours. I think a few simple things could speed things up:
* When you make a pick, PM and/or e-mail the next 3 teams up. "I just selected Player A. Team X you are up, Team Y you are on deck, Team Z, you are in the hole".
* If you don't anticipate being on for a while but are coming up in a couple of picks, don't be afraid to email a short list of players to the commish or another owner to pick on your behalf.
* Avoid trading picks as they or are about to come up. If I'm on the clock at noon and decide I want to deal the pick, the likelihood of that pick being made in a timely manner decreases as I try to work a deal, get it confirmed and approved.

What we need to do is cut the later rounds times... I emailed our honor (the commish) to talk about cutting the 3rd and beyond down to 6 or 8 hours... I think this is a fair deal. Leave it at 12 for the remainder of the first and the second.

I'm thinking first 4 are twelve hours and rest is 8 hours. Thanks marlins, he was not sure if he was going to be here for his pick. He was three picks away and he emailed me his top 3 for me to pick incase. Perfect example of what I want.

I think 8 hours isn't enough. What if I sleep for 9 hours!
In addition, the later picks take more thought because there's less known about the players.
