I've been hearing a lot of complaints about free agents. Since there were a lot of people who came in midway and may want to trade away their free agents. Should we change it to so you can trade free agents now? What do you guys think.

i think we should be allowed to trade FAs for this year only. next year, when most GM spots are more or less nailed down, the May 1st rule should be upheld to prevent collusion. but this year, since there has been so much GM turnover, i think there should be an exception.

I propose the following: Any free agents signed not by their original team can be traded now. The rule about May 1st is to prevent sign and trades, where the team with the hometown discount signs the guy for 15% off and then trades him away. This way, people can trade their FA's without any possibility of collusion.

I'm not sure how it's against half the league- it's only against trading potential sign and trade guys before May 1st.

But do you think teams who did sign free agents, they were going into the signing thinking they could only trade the player until May 1 anyway.

Im saying teams that originally signed free agents signed them thinking they wouldnt be able to trade them till May 1. So they were not expecting to do a sign and trade.
